Learning scientist with a Stanford PhD and a Cornell law degree who publishes evidence-based videos on how people learn and runs the paid Keep Learning Community ($12 a month or $120 a year).
Benjamin Keep is an American learning scientist and former lawyer who explains research on learning, studying, teaching and reasoning. His website describes him as a learning scientist, consultant and YouTuber. According to his author profile on Highbrow, he holds a PhD in learning sciences from Stanford University and a JD from Cornell Law School; his ResearchGate profile lists a B.A. in anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis and his doctoral work at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. His LinkedIn profile lists Stanford from 2013 to 2018, admission to the New York bar in February 2011, self-employment as his current position and Westerly, Rhode Island, as his location. His year of birth was not found in any public source.
He has worked as a consultant: the Highbrow profile says he works with citizen science projects, education technology firms and schools, and a November 2019 guest post on the Teach Like a Champion blog identified him as an advisor to the Learning Agency, the organization led by Ulrich Boser. No company registered under his name was confirmed.
His main public channel is the YouTube channel "Benjamin Keep, PhD, JD" (@benjaminkeep), created in September 2013 and linked from his website. On September 14, 2026 it showed 141,000 subscribers, 115 videos and about 6 million views, with the United States listed as its country.
