The site's terms of use state that the website "is operated by The Trading Channel and it's owner Steven Hart", and that those terms are governed by the laws of the state of Georgia, United States. On the channel's YouTube description, Hart presents himself as a professional forex trader since 2011 and a trading coach since 2014. No public source consulted gives his age, year of birth or formal education, and no independent source confirms his trading record.

The sales page includes Hart's own account of his path, which is his claim and not independently verified: he says he worked in construction roofing houses for $12 an hour, lost money for his first year and a half of trading and later posted a 103% return in a little over a year on a real account.
