He won the 2020 United States Investing Championship with a 941.10% return, a result reported by Bowdoin College, his alma mater, in March 2021. Bowdoin's article says he graduated in 2010, majored in government, played quarterback on the college football team, and did not make money in his first six years of trading. His own website says his father was a market maker on the Pacific Exchange and that he lives outside Philadelphia.
According to FINRA BrokerCheck, he worked at BTIG, LLC in San Francisco (2012-2014), at NGAM Distribution, L.P. (2014-2017) and briefly at Merrill Lynch in Philadelphia (2017). He holds the Series 7, 55, 63, 65 and 66 exams and the SIE. He is the owner of Kell Capital, LLC, a state-registered investment adviser based in Penn Valley, Pennsylvania, listed on the SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site with registrations in Pennsylvania and Texas effective in 2025.
