This category brings together people who teach long-term investing: stocks, index funds, retirement accounts, dividends and real estate. Compared with trading, the focus is usually on asset allocation, product costs and investor behavior over the years.

Common formats are books, module-based courses, communities with regular content and programs with ongoing support. As with trading, teaching is not the same as advising: personalized investment advice is reserved for registered investment advisers, whom you can look up in the SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure database.
