Who is Erika Kullberg?

Erika Kullberg is an American attorney and personal finance content creator whose tagline is "I read the fine print so you don't have to." According to Wikipedia, she was born in Japan to a Japanese mother and an American father, earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, and worked as a corporate attorney before leaving the firm to build her own business. Wikipedia places her birth in 1990 or 1991; her own website does not state her age.

She founded Plug and Law, an online company selling legal agreement templates for online business owners, and runs Erika.com, the brand under which her courses are sold. The sales page for Million Dollar Investor names Erika Kullberg LLC as the seller, and the terms of erika.com are governed by Wyoming law. Bloomberg Law describes Creators Agency LLC as her talent management agency, and her LinkedIn profile lists her as a co-founder of it.

She publishes short videos on TikTok and longer videos on YouTube about consumer rights, credit cards, travel compensation, budgeting and investing. On September 13, 2026, her TikTok account @erikakullberg showed 8.7 million followers and her main YouTube channel @Erika2 showed 2.25 million subscribers and 353 videos; the podcast channel @erikataughtme showed 85,500 subscribers. Her website claims more than 21 million followers across platforms. Her podcast Erika Taught Me interviews guests on money topics. Forbes ranked her #34 on its Top Creators list in 2025 and #40 in 2026, and Money magazine named her a Changemaker in 2023, according to Wikipedia.

What she sells: 3D Money, a self-paced course on budgeting, credit, debt and investing, listed on a special-offer page at $375 (regularly $600) with a 30-day money-back guarantee; Mastering YouTube, a 15-module, 94-lesson course on building a YouTube channel, listed at $497 with a 14-day refund window; and Million Dollar Investor, a 4-week, 8-module investing program with 12 months of monthly expert Q&A, listed on a sales page at a $1,497 sale price (regularly $2,500) or three monthly payments of $547, with a refund conditioned on completing the weekly action items. Her course catalog also lists The Magic Budgeting System, First Class Travel Secrets and the Erika Kullberg Insiders membership; no public price was found for these, and the Insiders page showed enrollment closed when checked. Her website also offers free challenges, calculators and guides. The erika.com terms state that the site's content is not legal, tax or financial advice.

Reputation on record: in March 2023 she was named, along with several finance YouTubers and Creators Agency, in a class action filed in the Southern District of Florida over paid promotion of the FTX crypto exchange, which alleged the promotions lacked adequate disclosure (Tubefilter, James Hale, March 17, 2023). Bloomberg Law reported on July 10, 2025 (Gillian R. Brassil) that she and Creators Agency agreed to pay $372,500 to resolve those claims in In re FTX Cryptocurrency Exchange Collapse Litigation, with plaintiffs seeking preliminary court approval. Neither article includes a public response from her. A FINRA BrokerCheck search for her name on September 13, 2026 returned no registration under her name; her programs are sold as education, not as investment advisory services.

Not confirmed: her own figures, such as follower totals, the claim that she has helped over a million people, and the student debt she says she paid off (her website mentions both $200,000+ and $220,000), come from her own materials with no independent source. Prices for The Magic Budgeting System, First Class Travel Secrets and Erika Kullberg Insiders, the final approval status of the FTX settlement, the state of registration of her companies, and her bar admissions were not confirmed.
