Grant Cardone is an American sales trainer, author and real estate fund manager. Wikipedia gives his birth date as March 21, 1958, in Lake Charles, Louisiana; in a post on his own website he says he studied at McNeese State University. He is the founder of Cardone Training Technologies, Inc., which runs the online sales training platform Cardone University, and of Cardone Capital, a real estate firm that raises money from investors for multifamily property funds. His website lists Cardone University, Cardone On Demand, Cardone Capital and the Grant Cardone Foundation among his organizations and presents him as a New York Times bestselling author (If You're Not First, You're Last) and a participant in season 2 of Discovery Channel's Undercover Billionaire.

According to his own website he has more than 16 million followers across social networks; there is no independent source for that total.
What he sells: Cardone University is a subscription video platform for sales and business training. Its website describes more than 800 courses and 8,000 interactive segments for individuals, with weekly mastermind sessions and certifications, and a Teams & Businesses plan with coaching and activity tracking. The main site does not show prices: individuals are sent to a checkout and businesses to a sales call. A Cardone University offer page on gc.grantcardone.com, read on September 14, 2026, listed a price of $4,995, payable in 12 installments of $449, and said access is lost if payments are cancelled; the page does not state how long the $4,995 access lasts. His online store sells his books, including The 10X Rule and Sell or Be Sold at $25 each, and The Grant Cardone Rebuttal Manual eBook at $497. He also runs paid events: the 10X Business Summit, scheduled for October 23-25, 2026, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, listed an Executive ticket at $997 and a Super VIP ticket at $15,000. Figures such as 850,000 users served, more than $2 billion raised through social media and a portfolio above $5 billion come from his own websites and have no independent confirmation.
Reputation and legal record. The most significant case is Pino v. Cardone Capital, LLC, a securities class action filed in 2020 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California (case 2:20-cv-08499). It alleges that Cardone and Cardone Capital made misleading statements on social media, including projected returns of 15% a year, when promoting Cardone Equity Fund V and Fund VI. The district court dismissed the case; on December 21, 2022, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals reversed that dismissal in part, holding that mass communications through social media posts and online videos can make a promoter a seller under Section 12(a)(2) of the Securities Act. After a second dismissal, the Ninth Circuit reversed again on June 10, 2025, finding that the complaint adequately alleged that Cardone did not believe his own return projections and that the omission of an SEC comment letter could support a claim (InvestmentNews, June 12, 2025). According to the official class notice website, read on September 14, 2026, the court certified a class of people who bought interests in Fund V or Fund VI, no settlement has been reached, the defendants deny the allegations, and trial is scheduled for March 9, 2027. The case is unresolved.
A HuffPost investigation published in July 2023 reported that Cardone's training company had sued several clients who stopped paying long-term training contracts, citing a $497-a-month contract and a six-year $795-a-month contract that ended in settlements; it also reported a 2017 lawsuit by employees of his training company alleging they were pressured to attend Scientology events, which settled on confidential terms. HuffPost said Cardone and Cardone Capital did not respond to its requests for comment.
