Who is Mark Tilbury?

Mark Stephen Tilbury is a British entrepreneur and personal finance content creator. He left school at 16, according to his own YouTube channel description, and built a business selling radio-controlled models before turning to online content about money, investing and side hustles. Companies House lists his date of birth as September 1967 and his nationality as British; Wikipedia gives 15 September 1968 and states that his primary residence is in Monaco, a claim we could not confirm in an independent source.

His earlier business career is documented in the UK company register. He was a director of Model World Limited (appointed March 2003, resigned March 2026) and of Century UK Limited (now dissolved), along with several other model and drone companies that have since been dissolved. In February 2014 Kent Online reported that Model World, based in Sittingbourne, built a model predator drone used in the first episode of that season of BBC's Top Gear. He has been a director of Tilbury Solutions Ltd since June 2020, a company that shares its registered office in Worthing with The Wealth Portal Ltd.

He publishes on YouTube (channel joined March 15, 2014; 8.94 million subscribers and 370 videos as read on September 14, 2026) and on TikTok (@marktilbury, verified, about 8 million followers as read the same day). His videos use short skits to explain credit cards, compound interest, investing and ways to earn extra income. He has also recorded a podcast with his son, Curtis Tilbury. Some of his YouTube links are referral links to brokerage apps such as Trading 212 and Webull.

What he sells is The Wealth Portal, described on its website as his online learning platform for increasing income and investing. According to the sales pages, members get "Proven Pathways" (skill courses such as dropshipping, content creation, video editing, brand design, product flipping and deal making), weekly live workshops, AI workshop sessions, a members' community, a library of his videos, monthly challenges with prizes, and in-person events. The FAQ says he uploads videos, hosts live sessions and replies in the community, alongside his team and invited mentors. The main site currently shows a waitlist and says membership is capped. On the checkout page read on September 14, 2026, yearly access was listed at $995 (shown as reduced from $1,995), with an alternative of $599 billed every six months and an "event only" offer of $599 per year; buy-now-pay-later options were offered. The terms of service describe annual subscriptions that renew automatically and a 3-day cooling-off period for UK consumers. The Wealth Portal Ltd was incorporated in England on 26 November 2024; its listed directors are Curtis Stephen Tilbury and Thomas Owen Nattrass, and Mark Tilbury does not appear as an officer of that company.

Income figures on the sales pages (members going "from 0 to $24,000/month", "1000+ people" helped) are the company's own claims, accompanied by an earnings disclaimer, and we found no independent source for them. His personal wealth figures also come from his own material or from net worth websites, and are not included here.

On reputation: CNBC Select mentioned one of his credit card skits in a February 2025 article checking popular personal finance TikToks, describing him as a "self-proclaimed self-made millionaire". Bloomberg (April 2021) and Forbes contributor Ron Shevlin (September 2022) cited him in pieces about finance influencers; we could not read those two articles because the sites blocked access. A search of the UK Advertising Standards Authority rulings for "Tilbury" and "Wealth Portal" on September 14, 2026 returned no ruling about him or his company. We did not check the FCA register, as he does not present himself as offering regulated investment advice. Note that a different Mark Tilbury, a British thriller novelist, publishes books under the same name; those books are not his.
