Who is Graham Stephan?

Graham Stephan is an American YouTuber, real estate investor and personal finance commentator. Wikipedia lists his birth year as 1990 and his birthplace as Los Angeles, and says he lives in Las Vegas. He worked as a real estate agent in Los Angeles, including at the Oppenheim Group, before moving to content creation full time; on his own course page he states he has done "over $120,000,000 in sales", a figure he reports himself and for which we found no independent breakdown.

He publishes on his YouTube channel Graham Stephan, which showed 5.18 million subscribers when read on September 16, 2026, covering real estate, investing, the stock market and personal finance. He co-hosts The Iced Coffee Hour podcast on YouTube (1.65 million subscribers on the same date) and writes Graham's Newsletter on Substack, which is free and states over 41,000 subscribers. His website also links Bankroll Coffee, a coffee brand.

What he sells as training: two self-paced video courses hosted on a Teachable school named The Real Estate Agent Academy, both linked from grahamstephan.com. The Real Estate Agent Academy ($497, with an installment option) is aimed at people who want to work as real estate agents and is organized in nine parts, from getting licensed and choosing a brokerage to lead generation, working with sellers, buyers and lease clients, and tax planning. Its refund policy, per the sales page, applies to buyers who have watched less than 50% of the course within 25 days of purchase. The YouTube Creator Academy ($397 on the school page; its Leadpages landing page shows a code that lowers it to $297) covers channel growth, thumbnails, equipment and monetizing a channel. Both sales pages had active enroll buttons on September 16, 2026; the Teachable checkout itself could not be loaded by our tools.

Reputation and public record: in March 2023 Fortune reported that he was one of several finance YouTubers named as defendants in a proposed class action in federal court in Miami over their promotion of the FTX crypto exchange; in a video he told viewers that he had trusted the information he was given, had been wrong and was sorry. The case became part of the FTX multidistrict litigation in Miami (In re FTX Cryptocurrency Exchange Collapse Litigation, No. 1:23-md-03076, S.D. Fla.). Stephan settled with the plaintiffs; Cointelegraph reported in March 2024 that his share was $10,000. On December 19, 2024, Judge K. Michael Moore granted preliminary approval to that settlement and to those of six other promoters (ECF No. 799); the order states that it is not an admission by any party and postpones notice to class members until the claims against the remaining defendants are resolved. As of September 16, 2026, the docket showed no final approval order, and a second round of settlements with other defendants was still awaiting preliminary approval. No individual named Graham Stephan (other than an unrelated Graham Stephan Cassidy) appears in FINRA BrokerCheck or the SEC's IAPD, searched on September 16, 2026, so he is not listed as a registered broker or investment adviser. A search of ftc.gov on the same date returned no action under his name.

Not confirmed: the date of final court approval of his FTX settlement, current real estate license status, the legal entity that owns the course school, and student numbers or outcomes for either course; no independent review of the course content was found.
