Mike and Matty Kenny are brothers who present themselves as former medical doctors turned YouTube creators and online educators. Matty Kenny's Skool profile gives his name as Matthew Kenny. According to their own sales pages, they spent more than ten years studying to become doctors, worked full time as doctors while growing the channel, went all in on YouTube in 2022 and later left their medical jobs. A 2023 case study published by the payments platform Whop, which is promotional material for that platform, states that they founded Cajun Koi Academy in 2022 as a productivity brand focused on study habits. Their year of birth and their medical specialties do not appear in the sources reviewed.
The brand has changed names. The YouTube channel that was originally reached at youtube.com/c/CajunKoiAcademy now appears as "Mike and Matty" (@mikeandmatty), and the old address leads to the same channel. Matty Kenny's Skool profile lists him as co-founder of Koi Academy and based in Los Angeles. The support email on their YouTube course page still uses the cajunkoi.com domain.
The channel had 1.37 million subscribers and 653 videos when read on September 14, 2026. Its earlier content centered on studying, learning science, habits and productivity; its current description focuses on turning knowledge into income, communication and building a business through content and education. A media kit on Passionfroot, supplied by the creators themselves, also cites a newsletter called Mood & Mind and a TikTok account; those figures were not verified independently.
They sell two self-paced programs from mikeandmatty.com. Study Quest is a gamified course on learning techniques, note-taking, memory, focus and procrastination, priced at $247, or $327 as a bundle that adds the Extended Brain Notion workspace and two Notion courses. The Study Quest page offers a refund if requested within seven days, excluding processing fees. The YouTube Production System is a course on niche selection, video ideas, storytelling and monetization, priced at $997 or $1,147 as a bundle with their Notion content workspace, with a three-month payment option. Its page offers a full refund to buyers who complete the course and email within 14 days. They also give away a free three-hour YouTube course and workbook called the Creator Company Playbook.
Results are only reported by the creators themselves. The YouTube program page says they reached one million subscribers and one million dollars through YouTube, and the Whop case study cites more than $14,000 in monthly recurring revenue in 2023. No independent source confirms these figures. The brothers appeared as guests on the Beyond the Scope podcast in June 2023. Web searches run on September 14, 2026 for their names together with the brand did not surface independent press coverage, court cases or regulatory actions. An attempt to search the FTC website on the same date returned no readable results, so that check is incomplete. Their medical degrees and licenses are stated only by themselves: a search of the federal NPI Registry by name on September 14, 2026 returned entries for other people named Michael and Matthew Kenny, none of which could be tied to them, so their credentials remain unconfirmed.
