Ryan Hogue is an American e-commerce seller and online instructor who teaches people how to sell on Amazon under the name "Ryan's Method". According to his own website, he worked as a senior front-end web developer and taught web development at his alma mater before running his print-on-demand business full time. In a first-person column published by CNBC Make It on February 7, 2025, he wrote that he started selling print-on-demand t-shirts on Amazon with no upfront spending about nine years earlier, and that his income streams are that business, a YouTube channel, online courses and one-on-one coaching. The same column describes him as a former web developer and adjunct professor who quit both jobs to run his e-commerce business; its headline gives his age as 35 at the time.
His teaching brand appears on LinkedIn as "Ryan's Method Passive Income School", and the older domain ryansmethod.com now redirects to ryanhogue.com. No registered company name is shown on ryanhogue.com.
He publishes on the YouTube channel Ryan Hogue Passive Income, which showed 201K subscribers and about 2K videos when read on September 13, 2026, and on TikTok as @ryanhogueofficial, with 2,734 followers on the same date. His website also links to Instagram (@ryanhogueofficial), Facebook and LinkedIn.
His current main offer, as presented on ryanhogue.com, is The Amazon POD System, a Skool community priced at $39 per month. Its Skool page lists weekly action plans, monthly niche and keyword trend reports, weekly live coaching calls and listing audits, organized in five phases (Foundation, Research, Listings, Launch, Scale). The site also promotes a free one-hour webinar. On Gumroad, his seller page still lists four older courses: Ryan's Method: Amazon FBA at $1,497, Ryan's Method: Dropshipped Print on Demand at $997, and Ryan's Method: Amazon Merch and Ryan's Method: Amazon KDP at $497 each, plus two $7 design templates. The Amazon FBA course description covers product research and validation, sourcing suppliers on Alibaba, pro forma invoices, creating listings and sending inventory to FBA; its sales copy refers to 2020, so it may not have been updated since. The course pages that used to sit on ryanhogue.com returned a 404 error on September 13, 2026.
The revenue figures in his marketing are his own claims with no independent verification: the Gumroad FBA page says he has sold over $1.6M on Amazon and launched three private label brands, and the Skool page refers to "multiple 7-figures" over ten years. CNBC Make It has published columns under his byline, and his website lists CNBC, MSN, NBC Los Angeles, SXSW, The Sun and UpFlip as outlets where he has appeared. We did not find independent press coverage examining his courses or results. A web search on September 13, 2026 for his name alongside "FTC", "lawsuit" and "attorney general" found no regulatory action or court case naming him. We could not confirm his home state, the legal entity that sells his courses, or whether the Gumroad courses are still actively supported.
