Ramit Sethi is an American personal finance author, podcaster and seller of online programs, known for the book and website I Will Teach You To Be Rich. Wikipedia gives his birth date as June 30, 1982, in California, and lists a BA in Science, Technology and Society (2004) and an MA in Sociology (2005) from Stanford University. The same source lists him as a co-founder of PBworks, a commercial wiki service.
His book I Will Teach You To Be Rich was published by Workman Publishing in 2009 and updated in 2019. A companion journal followed in 2022, and Money for Couples (subtitled "No More Stress. No More Fights. Just a 10-Step Plan to Create Your Rich Life Together.") was published by Workman as a trade paperback on December 31, 2024, at a list price of $19.99, according to Hachette Book Group. Netflix released his eight-episode series How to Get Rich on April 18, 2023, in which he coaches individuals and couples on their finances.
He publishes on the YouTube channel I Will Teach You To Be Rich (@ramitsethi), which showed 1.13 million subscribers on September 14, 2026, and on Instagram as @ramit, with 980,000 followers on the same date. Both accounts are linked from his website. He also hosts the Money for Couples podcast.
On iwillteachyoutoberich.com he sells two main programs. Rich Life: Road to $100K is a monthly membership priced at $49 per month, cancel anytime, as listed on its sales page on September 14, 2026; it includes a calculator for a personal $100K investment date, his Conscious Spending Plan system, weekly live events, a resource library, a private community and an AI chatbot trained on his frameworks. Earnable is a program on starting an online business, with more than 15 playbooks, over 40 video lessons, templates, case studies and monthly live workshops; its sales page was open on September 14, 2026, but did not display a price, so enrollment cost could not be confirmed from an official source. His website states that the company has educated "42,000+ people"; there is no independent source for that figure.
Sethi does not appear in FINRA BrokerCheck or the SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure database under his name (both searched on September 14, 2026); his offers are education and media, not registered investment advice. A search of ftc.gov on the same date returned no action under his name. He is regularly interviewed by business media; Fortune, for example, published an article by Orianna Rosa Royle on April 17, 2025, on his views about household finances. We found no court ruling or regulatory sanction in his name in the sources reviewed.
